Chapter 219
The Siren's Chorus
A blinding white light erupted, followed by an explosion of battle qi. Like a bolt of silk streaking across the sky, it surged forward, unstoppable. Any Sea Clan warrior who inadvertently blocked its path was instantly cleaved in two, unable to impede its speed in the slightest! Soon, it ‘escaped’ the five-colored battle qi that enveloped the mountaintop!
Du Chen, who had been riding his Precious Lotus Scripture outside the barrier, preparing to ambush Brockman, saw Brockman momentarily dazed by the oscillating five-colored battle qi. Overjoyed, he was about to rush into the barrier and seize back the Tyran Beast.
But just then, two voices rang out simultaneously.
“Young Master, you mustn’t!” The anxious voice belonged to Deboning!
“Fool, are you trying to die?!” The usual irritating drawl, of course, was from Old Five!
Old Five fell silent after his warning, but Deboning quickly elaborated, “While this battle qi cannot compare to the Battle Qi Convergence of March Third, its power is still considerable. Moreover, it seems… to possess remarkable sentience and potent aggression!”
Du Chen’s heart jolted with surprise. “Sentience?”
Suddenly, the green battle qi, which the white light had broken free from, began to twist, truly as if imbued with life. Originally, all five colors of battle qi had shot straight into the sky, but the green battle qi abruptly changed direction, spiraling to chase after the white light, as if determined to snatch it back.
The white light flew swiftly, but the green energy was even faster. In the blink of an eye, it coiled around the white light. The two radiant energies tangled like two colossal pythons, spiraling and wrestling!
Yet, even as the green energy pursued the white light, another tendril branched off. It descended upon Brockman and Tendon-Severing within the five-colored battle qi barrier, enveloping them. They exchanged a look, then violently shot upwards, soaring towards the source of the green light!
Du Chen, Deboning, Gode, and Hawkins almost simultaneously realized Brockman’s attempt to escape. Greatly alarmed, Gode bellowed, “You’re not getting away! Flying Fish Squadron, prepare for ranged projection! Sir Hawkins, let us join forces to shatter the battle qi barrier and capture them!”
“Agreed!” Hawkins, being closer, was the first to gather his battle qi, unleashing a powerful strike towards the barrier at Mount Tianshan’s peak. However… his attack vanished as if into a bottomless abyss, only causing two faint ripples on the barrier before disappearing without a trace.
Gode and his Long-Range Assault Formation, despite their numerous members, were fundamentally no match for Hawkins’ battle qi. Thus, they had even less chance of breaking through the barrier protecting Brockman!
In a blink, Brockman and Tendon-Severing, along with the little Tyran Beast, vanished from Mount Tianshan’s peak, just as Philip had disappeared during the Battle of Mount Tianshan previously!
The scenery shifted. In a pitch-black space, Brockman gasped for breath, then roared, “Quickly, the box brought back by the Yakun Battle Zone personnel has fallen into the Sea Clan’s hands! I made a promise, I must retrieve it! And there’s also the Sacred Artifact Box with many holes!”
“Lord Brockman! While that box is important, we have a more pressing matter—that scoundrel learned we were to open the lifeline tonight, secretly ambushed us here, and escaped during our preparations!” A voice echoed from an unknown direction. “Had it not been for the need to capture that scoundrel, we wouldn’t have prematurely expended a vast amount of life energy to open the lifeline—this was a Military Edict from the Marshal!”
Brockman froze, then let out a bitter laugh. So, the premature activation of the lifeline was the scoundrel’s doing, and his own lucky survival was merely a benefit gleaned from someone else’s misfortune!
Shaking his head, Brockman dejectedly said, “The newborn Tyran Beast has been retrieved. Take us to see Lord Philip!”
“Go yourselves. That scoundrel has already killed many of our people. We are now controlling the lifeline grand formation to capture him and have no spare energy to escort you. Furthermore, I spoke too hastily just now; please forgive me, my lord! We truly have no residual strength to reclaim those two boxes!”
Spoke too hastily? When did you ‘our own kin’ ever *not* speak hastily to us ‘outsiders’?! Brockman gritted his teeth, seething, “I will fulfill my promises. Sooner or later, I will reclaim those two boxes! Tendon-Severing, let’s go!” He dragged his injured body and disappeared.
Back on Mount Tianshan.
Watching Brockman vanish with the little Tyran Beast, Du Chen angrily shook off Deboning’s hand and cursed repeatedly, “Damn it! Brockman, I will fulfill my promise! Sooner or later, I will reclaim that Tyran Beast!”
“What the hell kind of power is that?!” Du Chen, still fuming, pointed at the tangled radiant energies and demanded.
“The white is the power of The Undead; the green should be an indication of plant-based life energy!” Deboning stared intently at the two forces. Now, with Brockman’s disappearance, the battle qi on Mount Tianshan gradually dimmed. The other four colors vanished, leaving only the green light chasing the white!
“The Undead?!” Du Chen’s heart stirred. Staring at the intertwined radiant energies, he activated his Precious Lotus Scripture and flew up!
The white light suddenly burst with brilliance, struggling for a few moments before causing the green energy to dim. Then, like a victorious general, it broke free from the green energy’s entanglement and soared into the sky!
But before it flew far, *shk shk!* The white light began to dissipate as if a raging fire had fallen into the sea!
Indeed, Du Chen had disassembled his Lotus Azureveil Shield, placing the Invisible Shield of “Old Fourth” in the white light’s path. The white light was unlucky; it couldn’t see the invisible Old Fourth and collided head-on with this Lotus Sacred Artifact, which specialized in countering Undead-type powers!
The white light seemed to realize it had encountered its nemesis and hastily tried to turn back, but it was already too late! Under Du Chen’s urging, “Old Seventh” softly flipped over, instantly enveloping it like a dumpling, then vanished into the sky.
All of this was done by Du Chen from within his mosquito-sized Lotus Sacred Artifact, and since Old Seventh was invisible, to outsiders, the white light simply appeared to have exhausted its momentum and dissipated on its own!
Du Chen sneered, retrieving the Sacred Artifact along with the captured white light into his body! Only then did he reappear before Gode and Hawkins, who were descending Mount Tianshan.
Regardless of what that white light was, it had emerged from Mount Tianshan. Capturing it might reveal some secrets of that mysterious organization!
Du Chen thought with a hint of dissatisfaction, approaching the two. But just as he was about to speak, his backside suddenly began to itch!
Could it be that he had performed a great good deed!?!?
Now was not the time to check. Du Chen watched the battle qi on Mount Tianshan dim and then dissipate. He exchanged a bitter smile with Gode and Hawkins. “Alas, we couldn’t save them!”
Gode, unwilling to give up, commanded, “Men, dig up Mount Tianshan! We must find that Tyran Beast. I promised Lord Brockman, and I will fulfill it!”
The Sea Clan warriors hastily carried out the order, truly beginning to excavate the mountaintop. In truth, everyone knew it was futile—was Mount Tianshan so easily dug up? Even when several masters dueled here that day, it sustained no damage! Gode was simply throwing a childish tantrum again! But Du Chen did not stop them; instead, he quickly returned to the sea, “Now is not the time to be discouraged. Let’s examine what they left behind; perhaps there are some clues!”
Punching his hand in frustration, Du Chen, Hawkins, and Gode arrived beside the captured spoils. Du Chen glimpsed the Sacred Artifact Box placed on a larger box, a barely perceptible sneer curling his lips. “The little Tyran Beast held onto this box the entire time. Perhaps there’s something important inside. Deboning, forcibly pry it open, but be careful not to destroy what’s within!” As he spoke, Du Chen reined in all his Lotus Internal Force…
Without the suppression of Lotus Internal Force, the cursed fluctuations of certain things would naturally…
Deboning, understanding, stepped forward and seized the box. Destroying a Sacred Artifact was different from forcing a Sacred Artifact to acknowledge mastery; absolute overwhelming strength was all that was needed. And for Deboning to destroy a mere level-one box, it was effortless! Moreover, the note Du Chen had left near the box had long been torn by Brockman, so at this moment, no one would suspect this item could be connected to Du Chen!
*Crack!* Deboning pulled at both ends of the Sacred Artifact Box with both hands, tearing it open. *Thud*, a gleaming golden Seal dropped out!
Du Chen caught it, glanced at it, and disdainfully said, “Another fake. By the Supreme Father God, why are there so many scoundrels who dare to offend your dignity? Wait, what’s with this primal energy fluctuation…”
Everyone’s expression changed simultaneously. Before Du Chen could say more, Hawkins stepped forward, snatched the Seal, and meticulously examined it for a moment. He then knelt, confessing to his ancestors, and forcefully slapped the Seal—it remained completely intact! He looked again closely, then suddenly roared, “It’s the Holy Relic left by our ancestors!”
Du Chen ‘froze’ for a moment, then indignantly declared, “These scoundrels who dared to offend the Supreme Father God actually used such an ordinary box to contain a relic of the Father God!”
Hawkins solemnly nodded. “Sir Francis, I apologize for my and Leihaite’s rashness! And my Saint Baton Clan will forever remember that you saved Leihaite’s life! Furthermore, my clan will never forgive those damnable thieves!”
Du Chen nodded in agreement. “I won’t let them off either, because I strongly suspect why they gave me a fake Beast Emperor’s Seal. This is at least a conspiracy targeting me! Sir Hawkins, I believe they are our common enemy!”
Poor Brockman; he never even knew what was inside the Sacred Artifact Box in the end, yet he took the blame for Du Chen’s grand scheme! Du Chen watched Hawkins reverently cradle the Beast Emperor’s Seal, laughing internally. A trivial, useless trinket, yet it could exchange for a direct confrontation between the Saint Baton Clan and that mysterious organization, giving him a chance to fish in troubled waters! It earned him a favor from the Saint Baton Clan! Returning it was indeed worth it!
However, recalling Roxane again, Du Chen’s joy was completely washed away. He sighed inwardly and approached the two large boxes, his heart still holding a sliver of expectation. What could be inside these now?
These two black boxes were also extraordinary. Though not comparable to the Sacred Artifact Box, they were reinforced with battle qi seals. Deboning, however, had to exert some effort to open one.
Everyone curiously peered into the box. Seeing what was inside… Du Chen’s lips twitched. “Why is it you again?!”
Inside the box was a snake, a golden python! It was coiled, imprisoned in the box, its head drooping to one side, its entire body covered in wounds. It was either unconscious or had been drugged into a stupor!
It was Helen’s Divine Pet, the Golden Serpent Sulan!
Touching his nose, Du Chen looked at Gode and Hawkins, feigning astonishment. “Sulan!? Heavens, this is my friend Sulan! How did she end up in this box!? Could the other box contain…?”
“She’s your friend?!” Gode, still regretting not saving the little Tyran Beast, was momentarily stunned, then laughed, “Who would have thought? We didn’t save the little fellow, but we rescued your friend. This trip wasn’t in vain after all!”
Hawkins said, “What species of snake is this? I’ve never seen it before! However, since she was a captive of those people, she shares a common enemy with our Saint Baton Clan!” With that, he rose and opened the second box!
Du Chen turned to look. “Indeed, it’s Mr. Ted; he’s also my friend!”
Such a familiar scene. Ted was still as he had been last time: completely naked, wearing only a pair of white shorts, his tall, well-built body covered in wounds, lying in the box with his eyes tightly shut. Damn it, every time he saw him, he was gravely injured, looking like he was on the verge of death! But there were only two boxes here, which prompted a question in Du Chen’s mind—where was Helen? That unreasonably beautiful woman who had once actively sought to be his maid, where was she!??
…
Battle God Isle, Water River, Dormitory Number Eighteen!
Harry stood nervously by the table, the wine tray in his trembling hands clinking loudly, the wine glasses unsteady.
But the person opposite him sat respectfully in a chair, a humble expression on her face, with a hint of anxiety in her brows. “Mr. Harry, is there still no news from Lord Francis?”
It was Helen! But at this moment, she was disguised as an ordinary young woman with delicate features.
Harry was terrified. He was all too familiar with the floral scent emanating from Helen, that Demoness. Even though he knew Helen wouldn’t harm him, he was still afraid! Though the Shieb’s hands trembled, he shrewdly replied, “My master nominally went for Elite Training, but, you know my master’s true strength and identity. How could I know where he truly went at a time like this?!” His enemies were unknown; I, Butler Harry, would never expose my master’s true whereabouts!
Hellen’s beautiful brow furrowed with deeper sorrow. She sighed softly and shook her head.
Little Beibei curiously approached, her large eyes gazing at Helen. After a long look, she suddenly revealed her dimples, smiling sweetly. “Big Sister, don’t be sad!”
Hellen forced a smile. Under Harry’s terrified gaze, she picked up little Beibei. “What a cute little girl!”
“Big Sister, what are you looking for Daddy for?” Little Beibei softly sniffed Helen’s scent, her big eyes blinking rapidly. “You smell nice!”
Hellen blinked back at her, but her smile was strained. “Hmm… Big Sister wants to do some business with your Daddy! Little one, can you tell Big Sister what your Daddy likes?”
Little Beibei rolled her eyes. “Daddy likes many things, but, but he hates meeting women the most! Hmm, except for little Beibei!” The little one pointed to her own nose!
Hellen was taken aback.
“Francis! Get out here!” Just then, a woman’s clear shout echoed from outside the courtyard. Following that, with a *bang*, someone kicked the door open. Needless to say, there was only one woman on Battle God Isle daring to kick Du Chen’s door down: the Young Mistress of the Red Sand Gang, Kristina!
“Miss Kristina, isn’t that a bit improper?” Annie timidly followed Kristina, wondering how the two had ended up together.
“What’s improper about it? I never knock when I come for Francis!” The two women walked directly into the living room.
Hellen’s heart tightened at the sight of Annie, but she quickly adopted a composed demeanor, smiling and nodding in greeting to them!
“Who are you? What do you want with Francis!?” Kristina asked curiously, then ignored Helen, turning to Harry. “Where’s your master? Hurry! My old man is almost bankrupt from Annie’s aunt winning all his money. Get him to save him quickly!”
Harry looked blankly at the two women, thinking, *Annie’s aunt is cleaning out your old man, yet you, you and Annie are holding hands like good sisters!?*
“Uh, the master went for Elite Training; he won’t be back for a few days…”
“Are you lying to me? Don’t think I don’t know. Francis is notorious for skipping classes; he must have used the training as an excuse to go carousing!” Kristina huffed. She pulled Annie, and they plopped down opposite Helen, huffing, “If he doesn’t come out today, I’m not leaving! This old woman is staying here overnight!” Waving at the distressed Harry, “What are you standing around for? Even Miss Annie, your master’s lady, calls me ‘Big Sister,’ so why aren’t you hurrying to serve me tea and entertain your guest!?”
Harry grimaced, glanced at the shyly bowing Annie, and acknowledged the order.
Little Beibei looked left and right in confusion, her big eyes unable to keep up.
Hellen was startled by Kristina’s casual remark: *Mistress Annie!?* Didn’t Francis detest women? How could he be married, and to Annie, of all people—the very one she had once manipulated!? She couldn’t help but look at Annie more closely, thinking that it would be proper to first curry favor with his wife if she wanted Francis’s help!
With that in mind, Helen proactively engaged the two women in conversation, becoming quite cordial!
Not long after, another person arrived outside the courtyard. “Excuse me, is anyone home? Does Francis live here? I’m Avril!”
Upon hearing Avril’s name, Annie immediately became restless, and Kristina abruptly shot to her feet. “This Avril, is she the one you told me about, Francis’s Old Flame?! Come on, Big Sister will go with you to teach her a lesson! What kind of person dares to steal my sister’s man! Hmph!”
“Big Sister Kristina, don’t go! This…” Annie was dragged by Kristina towards the courtyard gate.
In the living room, Helen was momentarily stunned, her mind constantly calculating. Francis also has a lover!? Then, if she wanted to curry favor with Lord Francis, whose side should she take!?
She heard Avril outside say with a laugh, “The two young ladies are…”
Kristina declared, “Are you the one who seduced my sister’s man!? Hmph, you look quite decent, don’t you?!”
Avril, who had initially greeted them with a smile, was startled by the sudden accusation, and her face immediately grew cold. “Please mind your words, young lady, and clarify the situation. To my knowledge, Francis does not have a lover—this is what his elder brother, Steve, told me!”
“Hey! You dare doubt my words? I’m telling you…”
Annie saw that the two were about to start arguing and quickly stepped forward to mediate. At this moment, Helen mused, *If Lord Francis’s private affairs are such a mess, he’ll definitely deal with his domestic issues first when he returns and won’t immediately discuss saving my father and Sulan…* *Perhaps I should try to mediate.* *And, incidentally, I can learn more about Lord Francis’s temperament from their argument!*
She also stepped out and joined the increasingly heated “discussion.”
Harry, holding little Beibei, squatted by the living room entrance, looking outside. Little Beibei tilted her head, mumbling in confusion, “Daddy says one woman is equal to five hundred ducks, so Harry, we have two thousand ducks at our doorstep!” Harry smiled wryly. “Young Miss, you are absolutely right. Uh, Andy has been woken up. Let’s go play with him!”
Four women gathered together, especially for one man, was truly a… dumbfounding sight. At least, Cassian, who had just finished his good deed and returned to Harry for the ‘antidote,’ was dumbfounded by the four women at the entrance.
Scratching his head, and hearing what the four beautiful women were “discussing,” Cassian suddenly wiped the corner of his eye and shouted over the courtyard wall, “Lord Harry, remember, Cassian has finished his good deed for today! Please tell Senior Brother that I, I’m going to continue doing good deeds!” He added inwardly—*for women, beautiful women!*
*Damn it, Senior Brother’s ‘can’t be a man’ move is too vicious! Who did he learn it from?! But it really is a brilliant strategy; I want to learn it too!*
The backyard—no, the front door was on fire, but Du Chen was utterly oblivious.
He feigned a profound sense of righteousness, loudly cursing those who harmed Ted and Sulan, then placed them into his Precious Lotus Scripture, stating he would take them back for treatment!
Hawkins, eager to report all this to his clan elders, immediately asked Gode to gather his nephew while he prepared to leave. Du Chen quickly interjected, “Sir Hawkins, there’s one thing I’d like to trouble you with. As you know, my teacher, Dean Zigurd, is very much against matters of the Clandestine Circles, so I haven’t told him about my fortuitous involvement with the York Town Thirteen. Could you perhaps…” Du Chen spoke with great difficulty and embarrassment.
“Furthermore, Brockman has another identity as a visiting scholar at the academy, and I didn’t confront him this time. Perhaps he might still dare to appear before me. Therefore, keeping my actions secret this time will also aid in tracking down those detestable villains!”
Hawkins nodded. “I understand. I will keep this matter a secret for you!”
Du Chen smiled awkwardly, looking deeply remorseful.
After seeing Hawkins off, Du Chen waved at Gode, who had been staring at Deboning. “Your Highness, I’d like to discuss something with you!”
Gode eagerly leaned in, smiling. “Is it about becoming a disciple? Don’t worry, I respect my teachers and their teachings; I will certainly not disappoint Lord Brockman’s tutelage!” He flinched when Deboning gave a cold snort, shrinking his neck, but still looked hopefully at Du Chen.
Du Chen waved his hand at Deboning and chuckled, “To be frank, Mr. Brockman is actually my Battle God Retainer, but I have no right to forcibly order him to accept you as a disciple! In my opinion, let’s find a middle ground: you can start as his nominal disciple, how about that?!”
Deboning was taken aback but couldn’t refute Du Chen’s suggestion!
Gode’s fish-like eyes immediately dimmed. He thought for a moment. “That works too! As long as Master finds it convenient to teach me some Secret Techniques whenever he can!”
“My Secret Techniques are never passed down externally!” Brockman said coldly. But due to Du Chen’s presence, he tacitly accepted the nominal disciple.
“This…” Gode felt utterly disappointed. If he couldn’t learn any genuine techniques, what good was being a nominal disciple!??
Du Chen slung his arm over Gode’s shoulder, deliberately leading him away from Deboning, and whispered with a laugh, “Things must be taken one step at a time. You start as a nominal disciple, then slowly undergo trials, right? As long as you have perseverance, sooner or later, Mr. Brockman will be moved by you! Hmm?” He raised an eyebrow, highly enticingly!
Gode nodded. “Then, when can I be considered to have passed?”
Du Chen touched his nose and smiled. The idea that had stirred in his mind during the previous battle became active again. “Well, I can see that you are truly sincere! Then I’ll tell you a secret: actually, Mr. Brockman is a very devout believer, and the God he believes in also has a doctrine. I can’t tell you specifically what it is, but in short, that God’s doctrine can be summed up in one sentence—Guiding Towards Goodness! So… do you understand?”
Gode suddenly realized. “You mean doing good deeds! I understand! From today onwards, I’ll do good deeds every day!”
This was Du Chen’s idea. Since the good deeds performed by the Lotus Charitable Foundation were credited to him, why not introduce a religion that encouraged people to do good? This was a theocratic society, a naturally fertile ground for developing religions! One could imagine, if a church promoting good deeds truly spread its doctrine on a large scale, then even if every believer changed just a little, not much, perhaps just helping an elderly person cross the street, or picking up a copper coin and returning it to its owner… accumulation would lead to substantial Merit for Du Chen!
Of course, this was just an idea, fraught with difficulties. Firstly, whether the Holy Church would permit such a church to exist was a major problem, but Du Chen decided to proceed slowly, convincing one person at a time; there was no such thing as too few good deeds!
And just like that, Gode was now planning to start doing good deeds!
The thought of persuading thousands of people to do good deeds made Du Chen’s mouth widen into a grin. He cleared his throat and continued, “Your Highness, since you are Mr. Brockman’s nominal disciple, we are no longer strangers. I’ll be direct: we failed to rescue the little Tyran Beast this time, and I don’t have the face to see Roxane! And you’ve also suffered considerable casualties…”
Gode stuck out his tongue and chuckled, “It’s fine by me. I made a promise that one day I will rescue that little fellow!”
Du Chen smiled, then said worriedly, “Hmm, me too! But you still have to report to your Sea King, don’t you? Otherwise, changing military orders without your Sea King’s command, resulting in the loss of over a hundred Royal Elite Guards, is no small crime! So, I won’t be seeing Roxane—she was disoriented just now anyway and won’t remember me. As for you, report to your Sea King that you and Sir Hawkins were responsible for this—you heard Sir Hawkins’s promise just now; he won’t mention me either! And state that you changed the military orders to forge a bond with the Saint Baton Clan and rescue Dean Zigurd’s Divine Pet, greatly strengthening the relationship between the Sea Clan and the Academy. This way, your merits will outweigh your faults, and you won’t be punished!”
“This… I am truly grateful, Sir Francis!” Gode thanked him profusely, promising that his subordinates would maintain a consistent story… Du Chen appeared to smile happily for Gode, but in his heart, he was thinking, *Firstly, I’ve distanced myself from this matter. Secondly, helping Gode avoid punishment is also a considerable good deed, isn’t it…?*
After their discussion, Gode asked, “So, are you returning to Battle God Isle now, or continuing your training at Sharkstone Reef!?”
Du Chen thought for a moment. “I’ll return to Battle God Isle. Anyway, Mount Tianshan is already very close to Battle God Isle, and I need to go back and treat those two friends! Hmm, please trouble you to send someone to Sharkstone Reef to inform my instructor that I had an urgent matter and returned to the academy. Just say that. I’ll explain in detail to my instructor another day!”
With that, Du Chen stepped onto his Precious Lotus Scripture and flew towards Battle God Isle with Deboning.
Gode, meanwhile, bit his finger and pondered for a while, then suddenly let out a mischievous laugh. “Listen up, all of you! I command you to remember what happened just now…” He repeated Du Chen’s instructions, then chuckled, “Let’s go! We’ll pick up Roxane and escort her to Battle God Academy! Then… hehe, I have a wonderful idea!”
Mount Tianshan lay on the edge of the Battle God Sea, marking the boundary between the Battle God Sea and the Palkin Sea. It was very close to Battle God Isle, and with the speed of Du Chen’s Precious Lotus Scripture, he could reach his dormitory in about an hour.
However, he took a slight detour, because the academy had already sensed activity on Mount Tianshan and sent people to investigate. Although Gode would handle these matters, Du Chen didn’t want to run into his instructors head-on.
Sitting on his Precious Lotus Scripture, Du Chen gazed at the sea, pondering his church idea. Deboning stood beside him, feeling a strange discomfort. *How did he suddenly acquire a student?* But the young master’s orders couldn’t be disobeyed, or the Spiritual Contract would torment him to death!
Deboning shook his head, then suddenly said, “Young Master, you’ve skipped class again; this is very improper!” This was the only excuse Deboning could think of to express his dissatisfaction!
With no outsiders present, Du Chen became much more relaxed. “If you don’t skip class, are you even a student anymore, haha!” After a joke, Du Chen added, “I know you don’t want to take students, and you certainly don’t want the Secret Techniques of the church to be leaked. However, I now have an idea, an idea to revive the glory of Yessar God! I’ll tell you more about it when we get back!”
Upon hearing about reviving the glory of Yessar God, Deboning’s eyes immediately lit up. But out of a sense of responsibility to his young master, he still said, “Young Master, honestly, skipping class is your loss!”
Du Chen pouted. He suddenly recalled how his Precious Lotus Scripture had bloomed earlier, as if he had performed a significant good deed. He quickly beckoned Deboning into another Precious Lotus Scripture to allow himself to check. As he sent Deboning into the lotus, he said, “Students, you know, always find their dormitories more comfortable than exam halls! Me? Heh, I reckon the only way to stop me from skipping class is if something terrifying happens to my dormitory, making it even more terrifying than an exam hall!”
At this very moment, Butler Harry was softly muttering to Andy, “I finally understand why the master hates women. Heavens, four women arguing at the front door is simply a terrifying disaster! Especially since, now, there’s a fifth woman!”
Meanwhile, little Beibei was counting on her fingers, muttering continuously, “Two thousand five hundred ducks… what will Daddy do when he comes back?”
