Chapter 597

Dilun

Would Keroff, the werewolf, really participate in qualification battles while undertaking a desperate-level mission? The elites from the four regions, including the Primal Region and Taichu District, secretly mused that Keroff must have a death wish to attempt such a dangerous feat. Desperate-level missions were a taboo for the Yuxiang Mountain Universe-level members.

Desperate-level missions meant a nine-out-of-ten chance of death. Who would dare to dedicate most of their consciousness to the Virtual Universe Network while in such a perilous situation?

“Your Highness!”

“Your Highness!”

In the manor, the group of guards led by Sector Lord Aoduo, along with other servants, respectfully saluted Luo Feng. Luo Feng stepped out of the living room, looking at the group of servants and Guard Squad before him. He felt a pang of emotion, knowing he would have to part ways with them as he was moving to the Primal Region. He immediately spoke, “Aoduo, you and your group have been with me for nearly two centuries. Though we part ways today, and you will no longer be my guards, you will always remain my friends.”

Sector Lord Aoduo and the others were visibly moved by his words.

Members of the Primal Secret Region held extremely high status and authority, far surpassing Aoduo and his peers. Yet, Luo Feng still spoke such words, and even if they were mere pleasantries, they warmed their hearts.

“You all seem quite reluctant to see me go, haha. Perhaps one day I’ll be kicked out of the Primal Secret Region,” Luo Feng joked. “Then I might need you to be my guards again.”

“How can you say that, Your Highness? Once you enter the Primal Secret Region, you won’t be kicked out,” Aoduo quickly replied.

“Competition is eternal; nothing is absolute,” Luo Feng said, shaking his head with a smile. “Alright, everyone, we’ve shared a journey, and now it’s time to say goodbye.”

With that, Luo Feng soared directly into the sky.

Aoduo and the hundreds of guards, along with an even larger number of servants, watched Luo Feng’s figure disappear into the distant sky, each sighing inwardly. Their strength was weak, their status low, destined to be guards and servants. Luo Feng, however, was the true peerless elite valued by the high-ranking officials of the Virtual Universe Company.

In the eyes of the higher-ups, even some ordinary Undying Gods were far inferior to these peerless geniuses.

After bidding farewell to Mrs. Fusi, Luo Feng left the Taichu District. A moment later, he arrived at the Primal Region.

The main entrance of the Primal Region was even more magnificent and grand than that of the Taichu District, featuring an astonishing gate carved from ancient gray stone.

“Your Highness Luo Feng.” An old man with white hair and beard, dressed in a white robe, subtly brightened and warmed the surrounding space. He was like a Sun, radiating warmth to everyone who approached him. “Welcome to the Primal Region, and to the Primal Secret Region.”

“Thank you,” Luo Feng said, nodding with a smile.

“I am Aituoer, the administrator of miscellaneous affairs for the Primal Region,” the white-robed elder said, his snow-white hair and beard fluttering in the wind. “Please follow me, Your Highness Luo Feng.”

Luo Feng followed Aituoer, flying into the air.

At the main entrance of the Primal Region, the group of Sector Lords who had been respectfully bowing behind Aituoer now whispered amongst themselves about the newly arrived Your Highness Luo Feng.

In mid-air.

As Luo Feng and Aituoer flew, Luo Feng looked down and was surprised to occasionally feel a powerful law fluctuation emanating from a certain spot below.

“Your Highness Luo Feng,” Aituoer said with a smile upon seeing his reaction. “The biggest difference between the Primal Region and the Taichu District is that the Primal Region has more Undying Gods residing here.”

“Firstly, every Your Highness in the Primal Secret Region is assigned a Guard Army!” Aituoer explained. “This Guard Army will be specifically led by an Undying Army Lord. Furthermore, every Your Highness in the Primal Secret Region can choose an Undying God teacher to reside permanently in their manor. Therefore, the number of Undying Gods here is higher than the number of Your Highnesses in the Primal Secret Region.”

Luo Feng nodded in agreement.

Indeed, a Guard Army included one Undying God, and there was also a personal Undying teacher. Each Your Highness would have at least two Undying Gods accompanying them.

“There are a total of 113 manors in the entire Primal Region,” Aituoer said, pointing to the endless stretch of manors below. “100 Sector Lord-level Your Highnesses, 10 Domain Lord-level Your Highnesses, and 3 Universe-level Your Highnesses. Every Your Highness is the most precious asset of our Virtual Universe Company.”

Luo Feng nodded slightly.

That’s right.

A Sector Lord’s lifespan extends for 1,000 epochs. Within this period, the entire universe, with its 1,008 Cosmic Nations, only recruits 113 Your Highnesses. This shows that every Your Highness holds an extremely high status! Far exceeding some ordinary Undying Gods. Of course… remaining in the Primal Secret Region at the Sector Lord-level is the most challenging.

The two flew through the air.

They passed over manors, each spanning thousands of kilometers. Finally, after a moment, Aituoer slowed his flight.

“That Manor No. 113 is your manor, Your Highness Luo Feng,” Aituoer said, pointing to the vast estate.

“Hmm,” Luo Feng murmured, looking down.

The manor’s walls resembled a continuous mountain range, stretching as far as the eye could see. In terms of sheer area, this single manor was larger than the territory of any country on Earth. Of course, in the vast cosmos, Undying Gods who turned an entire planet into their personal territory were commonplace.

Undying Gods possessed God Kingdoms, and the area of a God Kingdom was immensely vast.

So, for an Undying God, turning a planet into a manor was actually quite modest.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Aituoer and Luo Feng landed at the main entrance of the manor. At the entrance of this majestic estate, several square formations were neatly arranged. At a glance, there were at least tens of thousands of people. Standing at the very front of these formations was a bald man completely enveloped in a luxurious black robe. The bald man’s brows subtly bore silver scales and some secret patterns.

“Your Highness!” The bald man bowed slightly.

“Greetings, Your Highness!” The thousands of powerful warriors behind him, whose aura seemed to condense into one, all respectfully knelt on one knee.

“Greetings, Your Highness!”

The tens of thousands of servants all prostrated themselves, showing immense humility and respect. These servants were specially selected and trained by the Virtual Universe Company to serve its true core members. For these servants, it was an honor to serve a Your Highness of the Primal Secret Region.

“Your Highness Luo Feng, this is Dilun, the leader of your Guard Army!” Aituoer said, pointing to the bald man. “Dilun is an Undying God skilled in soul attacks, and his strength is formidable. Among the various ‘Army Lords’ in the cosmic armies, he is considered top-tier.”

Luo Feng was secretly astonished.

Due to his relationship with his teacher, Zhenyan King, Luo Feng was well aware of the power hierarchy.

By status, it was Army Lord – Marquis – King.

Under the Virtual Universe Company, a Marquis-level Undying God could easily kill a group of ordinary Undying Gods. Therefore, there was a significant power gap between the most ordinary Undying Gods and Marquis-level ones. This meant the strength of Undying Army Lords varied greatly; the weaker ones were merely ordinary Undying Gods.

The stronger ones were even close to the ‘Marquis-level’.

“Top-tier, doesn’t that mean close to Marquis-level?” Luo Feng was secretly surprised. “And he’s skilled in soul attacks. How could such a powerful Army Lord become the leader of my guards?”

“Your Highness, my teacher is Bloodthirsty King,” the bald man said, bowing slightly.

“Third Senior Brother?” Luo Feng was astonished.

Zhenyan King’s lifespan was incredibly long; Luo Feng didn’t even know how long his teacher had lived, but it was certainly much longer than Meng Cang King. His teacher was very cautious about taking disciples, only choosing those with good talent and compatible temperaments. However, the path to Undying Godhood was arduous, and becoming a King was incredibly difficult.

Among Zhenyan King’s disciples, only his third disciple had become a King.

“Grand-teacher is very concerned about Junior Grand-uncle,” a voice directly sounded in Luo Feng’s mind. “He worries about Junior Grand-uncle venturing out when he reaches the ‘Domain Lord-level,’ so he arranged for a trustworthy person to lead the Guard Army! I submitted my application, and since no other Army Lord was stronger than me, it was approved.”

Luo Feng looked at the bald man, a smile appearing on his face.

He was actually the junior grand-uncle of this Undying God?

With this connection, Luo Feng immediately found the bald man much more agreeable. However, Luo Feng also decided… he would contact his teacher, Zhenyan King, later.

“Mr. Dilun, I’ll be troubling you in the future,” Luo Feng said.

“It is my duty!” Dilun bowed slightly.

“Haha, Your Highness Luo Feng, Dilun is the leader of your Guard Army and also the manor steward. He will inform you of other matters, so I shall take my leave. If you need any help, feel free to find me,” Aituoer said with a smile.

“Thank you, Mr. Aituoer,” Luo Feng expressed his gratitude.

The white-haired elder then transformed into a streak of light and instantly departed.

“Your Highness, please follow me,” the bald man Dilun said, leading the way and beginning to show Luo Feng around the manor to familiarize him with it.

Inside the manor’s training ground.

Luo Feng stood respectfully, a screen floating before him, displaying the golden-armored ape-man, Zhenyan King.

“Teacher,” Luo Feng greeted respectfully.

“So you’ve met Dilun,” Zhenyan King said with a hearty laugh.

Upon hearing this, Luo Feng’s heart settled. It seemed Dilun was indeed his grand-nephew.

“When you reach the Domain Lord-level, you will be sent out and granted great authority,” Zhenyan King on the screen said. “Power will involve many things you can’t imagine. You will experience both glory and danger. Many things you can’t even conceive of now. Some dangers might be even more terrifying than those discoverable in desperate-level missions.”

Luo Feng was startled.

“Moreover, my temperament has earned me quite a few enemies,” Zhenyan King continued. “Of course, those insignificant pests wouldn’t dare provoke me. But I worry they might provoke you!”

“Enemies?” Luo Feng was surprised.

“Once you’re sent out, it won’t be as safe as being within the core of the Virtual Universe Company’s power structure,” Zhenyan King explained. “Of course, they wouldn’t dare act openly, because once I discover them… they will all surely die!” Zhenyan King’s natural domineering aura didn’t feel overbearing at all; it simply felt like a matter of course.

“Teacher, if you have enemies, why don’t you kill them?” Luo Feng asked.

“Uh—”

Zhenyan King’s expression seemed a little awkward, then he said, “Disciple, I usually act decisively, saying what I want to say and doing what I want to do. I’ve killed many, cursed many, and inadvertently offended many over the years. To be honest, I’m not even sure who I’ve offended; they were all minor matters, but some people always hold grudges.”

Luo Feng was speechless.

“However, no one dares to act openly; those who did are all dead,” Zhenyan King said with a smile. “Let’s not dwell on that. There’s another important matter… now that you’ve entered the Primal Secret Region, you have the right to choose an Undying teacher to guide you long-term. This is a rare and excellent opportunity.”
