Chapter 224
Assembling a Spaceship?
Luo Feng's return home brought joy to his parents, though Luo Hongguo and Gong Xinlan were unaware of what he had experienced in the past three or four days. Early the next morning, amidst the lingering mist, Luo Feng bid his family farewell, preparing for a trip to Hongning Base City.
"You just got back and you're leaving again," Gong Xinlan said that morning, as breakfast was laid out on the table. She rose and pushed the wheelchair, seeing Luo Feng off.
"I'll be quick, back for lunch," Luo Feng smiled.
"Back for lunch? Mom will go out herself today to buy groceries and cook your favorite meal," Gong Xinlan said with a smile.
Luo Feng nodded. Although he had tasted many delicious dishes in the virtual space of the War God Palace, far superior to his mother's cooking, the aroma of his mother's food always filled him with a deep, heartfelt affection.
"Dad, Mom, I'm off. I'll have a surprise for you at noon," Luo Feng chuckled, then ran towards his smart fighter jet.
"A surprise?" Luo Hongguo, in his wheelchair, and Gong Xinlan exchanged puzzled glances.
The dark blue triangular smart fighter jet swiftly took off from Mingyue Residential District, heading directly towards Hongning Base City in western Asia.
"I've always wanted to get some spirit plants for Mom and Dad. This time, I can finally exchange for some," Luo Feng thought, filled with joy.
"Luo Feng." A clear voice echoed in his mind.
"Babata?" Luo Feng connected a wisp of his mental energy to his wristband space.
"Luo Feng, this exchange is a good opportunity," Babata quickly said. "Forget about the spirit plants for now. While they contain some energy essence, the quantity is very small. They're somewhat useful for ordinary people and apprentices, but their benefit to planetary-level warriors is minimal! After we select some spirit plants, let's see if there are other valuable treasures to exchange for! Your Grand Hall Master might be hiding some good stuff."
"Oh, alright. Anyway, I publicly possess 4.5 Muya Jing, which can be exchanged for items worth 90 stars," Luo Feng communicated mentally. "I'll pick a few spirit plants, and you decide what else to exchange for, Babata."
"Haha, don't worry, leave it to me!" Babata quickly replied.
At the entrance of the giant spaceship building at Hongning Base City headquarters, a silver-haired Caucasian old woman, appearing around sixty, dressed in luxurious black leather and wearing a hat, emerged. Three subordinates, who had been waiting, immediately went to greet her.
"Chairperson." "Chairperson, shall we return now?"
Among the three subordinates, two were Wargods, and one was a butler. "No rush, we'll stay in Hongning Base City for three days first. If negotiations with Hong fail, we can still approach other Inspectors or Personal Guards," the silver-haired old woman said, her voice slightly high-pitched and her face expressionless. Yet, her gaze as she surveyed her surroundings made no one dare to meet her eyes.
She, a woman, was the underground queen of the entire Earth—the Chairperson of the HR Alliance!
"Keep an eye on Hongning Base City. If you spot any of the three Personal Guards or six Inspectors, notify me," the silver-haired old woman instructed.
"Yes," the butler quickly replied.
"Let's go," the silver-haired old woman commanded. Soon, a luxurious, vintage Maybach sedan slowly approached. Surrounded by her subordinates, the old woman entered the car, and its wheels began to turn, slowly driving away from the Extreme Martial Arts Dojo headquarters.
About an hour later, a dark blue triangular fighter jet descended from high altitude, landing on the nearby tarmac. A young man in black casual wear, carrying a backpack, leaped directly from the cabin, and the hatch automatically closed.
"Inspector." "Inspector." Some of the headquarters guards, seeing Luo Feng, immediately bowed respectfully.
Luo Feng, backpack on, strode directly towards the entrance. Only a select few high-ranking officials within the Extreme Martial Arts Dojo had the authority to enter this spaceship headquarters. Anyone attempting to force their way in without permission would be eliminated by the defense system. And clearly... Luo Feng was one of those high-ranking officials with direct access.
"Greetings, Inspector." "Greetings, Inspector." Amidst the respectful bows of some blue-robed personnel, Luo Feng went directly to see the Grand Hall Master.
At the same moment— "Chairperson, Inspector Luo of the Extreme Martial Arts Dojo just entered the Dojo headquarters." The message was swiftly relayed to the HR Alliance Chairperson.
Walking inside the giant spaceship building. "It's an interstellar transport vessel," Babata's voice, full of surprise, echoed in Luo Feng's mind. "I wonder how badly damaged it is. I really want to investigate it thoroughly, but unfortunately, many of this interstellar transport vessel's systems, even its power, are completely shut down, making it impossible to scan."
"What's the point of scanning? It's the Grand Hall Master's spaceship," Luo Feng communicated.
"You idiot! The Yunmo Star is beyond repair, so of course, we need to figure out... how to leave Earth. How can you leave without a spaceship?" Babata quickly said.
"This spaceship can still fly?" Luo Feng quickly asked.
"No, this interstellar transport vessel has been damaged and grounded for too long. Many parts are likely rusted, and with the passage of time... even powerful Realm Lords would decay. A perfectly intact star-grade transport vessel would develop problems after being buried underground for thousands of years, let alone one that was already damaged."
Luo Feng nodded to himself. "Then why were you so surprised?"
"It's broken, but it indicates something: there are still quite a few cosmic spaceship wrecks on Earth. If we get more wreckage, we might be able to assemble a small cosmic spaceship," Babata said excitedly.
"Assemble a spaceship?" Luo Feng was greatly astonished.
"That's a piece of cake! Don't you know who I am, Babata? I'm an intelligent lifeform! My database stores vast amounts of knowledge, including much from advanced civilizations. With enough machinery, materials, robots, and so on, I could even build a large interstellar battleship, let alone assemble a spaceship," Babata said confidently.
Luo Feng was indeed full of curiosity about the vast cosmos. Especially the 'Virtual Universe Network,' which, according to Babata, allowed one to meet countless races from across the boundless universe upon entering.
"The cosmos..." Although he wasn't ready to venture into the cosmos just yet, having a spaceship capable of interstellar travel was always a good thing.
"Babata, I can buy a lot of machinery and materials for you to build it," Luo Feng quickly said.
"Uh..." In the wristband space, Babata's small face showed a helpless expression. "Long-distance flight in the cosmos has very high requirements for spaceships! It's not just about the internal energy systems and so on, but also the hull's strength! The materials on your Earth are far from strong enough for space travel. So, it's best to assemble it from cosmic spaceship wreckage."
"There's no rush for this. It won't be too late to occasionally visit other planets in the cosmos once you cultivate to the Stellar level," Babata added.
Luo Feng fully entrusted the matter of assembling a spaceship to Babata, deciding to focus his own energy on cultivation.
Inside the spaceship, in a quiet room. "Grand Hall Master," Luo Feng bowed slightly. "Luo Feng, sit," Hong, dressed in black, sat cross-legged on a meditation cushion. Luo Feng also sat down cross-legged.
"What brings you here this time?" Hong looked at Luo Feng.
"I want to exchange for some items," Luo Feng said directly. "Using Muya Jing!"
"Haha, good," Hong couldn't help but smile. He was well aware of the efficacy of Muya Jing! Whether for his own cultivation or for the growth of his Moyun Teng, Hong needed Muya Jing! Therefore, he greatly welcomed others to exchange them with him.
"Here's the exchange list, more detailed than the last one you saw!" Hong waved his hand. Whoosh! In the dim quiet room, a huge projection screen appeared, displaying information and prices for numerous items.
"It's certainly more extensive than last time," Luo Feng's eyes lit up as he saw it.
"Exchange whatever you wish," Hong said, looking at Luo Feng. "You should be able to exchange for items worth 90 stars. If you have more Muya Jing, feel free to exchange as much as you like." As he spoke the latter sentence, a hint of a smile appeared on Hong's face. He had long suspected that some of those who searched for treasures on Mist Island had secretly hidden one or two Muya Jing.
Luo Feng, however, was staring at the large screen. "From the spirit plant catalog, three of number 2, two of number 5, and two of number 9 as well," Luo Feng stated directly.
Hong nodded slightly upon hearing this. He wasn't afraid of people buying; he was afraid they wouldn't!
"Babata, can you see the screen?" Luo Feng asked mentally.
"I can see it. I knew you Earthlings wouldn't have any real treasures; you truly are poor, treating these trinkets as precious items." Although Babata was mentally prepared for Hong's items to be subpar, seeing them now confirmed they were indeed very poor.
"Oh, a little treasure!" Babata quickly exclaimed. "Luo Feng, the gravity room under the 'Ancient Civilization Instruments' catalog at the very bottom."
Luo Feng quickly looked down.
Ancient Civilization Gravity Room: 1-1000 times Earth's gravity, price 90 stars. Luo Feng was shocked to see it! Wasn't this the Ancient Civilization Gravity Room from the Elite Training Camp? It wasn't available during the last exchange, but this time, the Grand Hall Master was willing to offer it. It seemed the Grand Hall Master was clearly very eager to acquire Muya Jing. But... why was it priced so high? 90 stars, which meant 4.5 Muya Jing. Very few people globally could afford that. The Grand Hall Master had clearly set this price intentionally, hoping Luo Feng would spend all 4.5 of his Muya Jing on it.
"Grand Hall Master, I'll take this Ancient Civilization Gravity Room," Luo Feng said.
"Oh?" Hong glanced at Luo Feng in surprise. "It seems you really did have extra gains! This Ancient Civilization Gravity Room... is indeed very effective for warrior cultivation. I've always been reluctant to sell this one, but since you want to buy it, I'll sell it to you! Do you still want the spirit plants?" The Ancient Civilization Gravity Room alone cost 90 stars, and Luo Feng's declared assets were only that much.
"I'll also take two portions of Dragon Blood and two Thousand-Year Black Crow Roots to round up the total," Luo Feng said.
"Spirit plants, two Thousand-Year Black Crow Roots for 3 stars... that's 20 stars in total. Plus the Ancient Civilization Gravity Room for 90 stars, that makes 110 stars in total!" Hong looked at Luo Feng in surprise.
110 stars, that was 5.5 Muya Jing! Five Muya Jing appeared on the surface of Luo Feng's black casual wear, with the remaining 0.5 recorded on Hong's account.
"Tsk, tsk, Luo Feng, you had quite a haul this time," Hong said with a smile.
"I did have a gain that others didn't see," Luo Feng smiled, then added, "But my pockets are empty now."
"You'll receive the spirit plants when you leave! As for the Ancient Civilization Gravity Room, that will take a few days; I'll have someone deliver it to your home then." Hong was very pleased. How many Muya Jing had all the major powers on Earth collectively harvested? And those who knew the efficacy of Muya Jing would try to buy them from other powers, so why would they sell? The fact that Luo Feng sold them made Hong feel exceptionally good.
As Luo Feng walked out of the spaceship entrance, he carried a silver briefcase containing the spirit plants.
"Inspector Luo." Luo Feng looked ahead in surprise. The silver-haired old woman in luxurious black leather, speaking fluent Chinese, approached with a smile, flanked by her three subordinates. "Hello, Inspector Luo, forgive my intrusion. You can call me Yisaduona! I wonder if I have the honor of inviting Inspector Luo for a coffee?"
"Yisaduona?" A name immediately surfaced in Luo Feng's mind. The Empress of the underground world, the Chairperson of the HR Alliance Council—Yisaduona!
